My afterthougts on the rage performance are beyond what I ever expected. For one, I almost passed out from the heat generated by the closeness of the crowd. Damn, I was so squished with hardly any room to even move my hands. Just as the music started everyone started jumping so I started jumping up and down as well. I swear I stepped on so many peoples feet and them on mine, but it was all worth it. After a few songs I started to lose my energy and just wanted to get out of there but it was so crowded I had nowhere to move to. I said the hell with it, and got in a mosh pit that had formed in front of me. I got hit in the face, and received an elbow to the ribs, but damn that shit was so euphoric I did not want to get out of it, but that was when I got hit in the head and damn that hurt. I stuck it out and got my second wind when KILLING IN THE NAME OF came on. That was the highlight of the night only second to infamous Zack speech. After the show, the lights came on and I got a chance to walk closer to the stage. I was mesmerized by the band's set up. the big red star in the background, the Che Guevara image on the amp, and just the whole vibe of the place, which I had only experienced through RATM dvds. I could'nt believe how many items were on the floor after the majority of the crowd left. Shoes, bags, purses, hats, water bottles, I even saw a pair of pants on the ground, lol. All in all, that was the best show I have ever been to. clap2.gif

haha i just realized something funny. everytime I would be walking behind someone with dreads at coachella (quite a few), I would yell out out "DUBY!" to see if they would turn around laugh.gif Or id yell something like "DUUUUByY brothers!" but none of my attempts were successful. But hey, I tried dunno.gif . laugh.gif

I really do wish that Rage would mix up their set a bit. Put in some of the songs that are just as awesome but less commercially succesful. I think that they feel they have to play all the songs they released, but i wanna hear them mix it up. Don't think it's gonna happen though mad.gif

Palm springs eh..... Thats nice to live so close to a great venue like the empire polo fileds. I travelled across the world for that gig - would have to say it was worth every cent and every second I was in Cali.
I really agree with you and everyone else who had the chance to experience such an amazing festival and the re-launching of the RATM carrer. Is any1 else just like hanging out for the next gig - we like need some RATM action - things have gone quiet around here. It's like the calm before the storm....

BRING IT ON!!!
