I've often had this debate with my mates. Personally, I'm going for Ride The Lightning, but the black album comes a close second grin.gif

Tough choice, although I went with Ride the Lightning. The album is just short and sweet..the title track and Bell Tolls might be two of the best rock songs ever created, right along with Creeping Death..

I know you're out there. I can feel you now. I know that you're afraid. You're afraid of us, you're afraid of change. I don't know the future. I didn't come here to tell you how this is going to end, I came here to tell you how this is going to begin. Now, I'm going to hang up this phone, and I'm going to show these people what you don't want them to see. I'm going to show them a world without you. A world without rules and controls, without borders or boundaries. A world...where anything is possible.
Where we go from there is a choice I leave to you.

Well, if I was in your position I'd get either 'Master Of Puppets' or 'Ride The Lightning'. The 3 of those albums really highlight Metallica's high points. '...And Justice For All' is also a bloody good CD, you can't really go wrong with old Metallica. wink.gif

Speaking of Justice, why hasn't anyone voted for it yet!? blink.gif

^ laughing.gif I had to vote for it, it deserves the attention. It was a CLOSE call between justice' and master of puppets, but in the end...Dyers Eve? Eye of the Beholder? One? Blackened? Come on...you can't say no to a lineup like that...I try to think of what I would most like to hear live too (and am going to in october rock.gif)...

Hard decision to make, i voted "black" but "justice" was a close second. In my opinion the new stuff just can't cut it in comparison to the classics. although you gotta give Metalica credit for stickin' around and showing all these "Nu metal" bands how it's done! boxing.gif zpunk.gif

^Nicely said, but i still believe that they shouldn't have changed their sound.Thrash was good for them.I love of their albums, but St.Anger wasn't what i expected.Besides there are many nu metal bands that are very good.

I agree, metalica's old stuff is so much better! and i've got nothing against nu metal bands, i just think that metalica was better in their hay day then these nu guys are now.
do you get my meaning? laugh.gif
