I really hate to say this because I am usually the one that argues this, but I really do believe that a lot of kids who have sex at a young age get it from televison and the movies. They want to be like "so-and-so" so they do what that person does. Kids at that age are very impressionable, hell I'm still impressionable. I think parents really need to sit down with their kids and explain the difference between entertainment life and real life, and most importantly, they need to be honest, when the kid seems to be getting into bad shit. Wow, I sound really conservative, hehe.

I'm against censorship so it is hard for me to try and explain what I mean here. I don't think Janet Jackson is at fault, I don't think Howard Stern is at fault. I think it's the parents who are TOO strict. Overprotective. My parents weren't strict at all, very liberal parents. I never felt the need to rebell against them. I think the more a parent says "no," the more the kid wants to go out and do whatever they are being told they can't. My parents never said "Don't go out and have sex," when I started dating. Instead, they made sure I was careful, if anything. I dunno, maybe I'm not making sense here...

Well from a girl's point of view when I was 14, I didn't know what the hell I was doing either. I was like "ok, so that was it." Hehe.

ohhh, ive never heard that before unsure.gif

i dunno as much as i should about the phillipines....

but yeah, that show was terrible, especially the acting, i guess the cast was like a middle school acting troop, thats how bad and corny it was....

mtv's got alot of shows that seem to highlight wreckless sexual practice as being normal, glamorous and basically alot of them give off the idea that theres no consequences....

i agree with this completely
im not meaning to offend anyone here, because everyone here on this board has my respect, and i think your all very smart people....but i think the average highschool-age mtv viewer accepts whatevers thrown in front of their faces as common practice.....

That is some eerie, eerie shit. No longer is that whole Jackass imitation being the problem.....it's just that high schoolers find it OK to have rampant promiscuous unprotected sex! The rates of STD contractions and unwanted pregnancies have increased. Lots of kids aren't even getting any decent sex education to be more careful! There's even cases of teenagers having STD's and STILL going out and fucking random people!

But at least we get some education about it I'm mean think about places like China and Africa.
People like to blame Chinese and other third world countries people for the worlds population problem with out even considering that for one there’s more of them there for more sex and therefore more babies or for two that they can't afford anything but food or that for three even with the education they were given some of them still don't put a fucking rubber on so of coarse its going to be allot harder with out any education.

And then there is Africa and there Aids problems where it's not even a matter of being uninformed but also misinformed I herd that in parts of Africa they believed that you would rid your self of Aids if you had sex with a virgin, that’s just sick, the first world really needs to step in and help out educate these people, but also put some more money in educating at home to.

^ AIDS is also more often then not passed on to the children from the parents in Africa. About the condom part, I doubt they even have money to purchase food let alone a condom so it's not that they forget to ermm.gif In a rich country like America condoms are the least of teens problems. They can just be so stupid and put themselves in situations like pregnancy and STDs and such. Hell, I'm happy that I won't be in any danger of those problems for a long time. Hehe I'm proud to say that I'm a virgin. The media does bombard kids with the idea that sex at 16-17 is normal on TV and on the radio. I remember that song from R.Kelly saying "come to my hotel i'll give you my roomkey" All these things greatly influence kids. MTV is getting too hot for me. wacko.gif
