All of these are songs I'll be performing soon.

We live our lives by the dirty steel standard
No more shootin for the moon like the lunar lander
Men in white comin’ to take you away
And ya stay, ya stay, ya stay complacent
A bleak existence underneath fluorescent light
I been eternally ended for my incessant fight
A prison of
Whitewashed walls
Do you have
The wherewithal
To silence the voice of the dissenters
Freedom leaves forever when the new rules enter
My Protean shifter brings the change
Upset the balance with no bottled up rage
Sound and fury signify a new age
No room to be intrepid in rapid succession
When the police at the post coerce false confessions
I make no concessions as I snatch victory
From the hands of the man dominated by greed!

Am I the only one to speak out when the killers are devisin’
I see a squall coming forward on the horizon
I am the thunder that comes along the winds of change
Sound and fury signify a new age!

Am I the only one to speak when the white coats are devisin’?
I see a squall comin’ forward on the horizon
I am the thunder that comes with the winds of change
Sound and fury signify a new age!

Thalidomide, insecticide,
The leaders lied, and the people died
Agent Orange and burning napalm
UFOs and the A-bomb

With the poet’s hand I turn the page
With the freedom fighter’s fist I take center stage
Sound and fury signify a new age
The symbols and the riddles fleshin’ out the finesse
The poetic and the militant mind in flex
I’m blessed with the power to rupture the structure
Even if it’s too much for
The feds
And the cops
Who line up at the top and hold the guns to our heads

Am I the only one to speak when the white coats are devisin’?
I see a squall comin’ forward on the horizon
I am the thunder that comes with the winds of change
Sound and fury signify a new age!

I am the thunder that comes with the winds of change
[x10]

Sound and fury signify a new age!

Ive been fucking GONE sorry ive been lackin on the discoruse fellas. Salva - thats good shit. how did the performance go? I want to know!! I wrote this in Peru just freewrite open thought dont stop the pen mood. obviously i was rage inspired... heh Im always rage inspired everything i do. zmat2.gif Anger is a Gift

The ones who drink to a toast
celevrating the union ghost
Attack on all lines assembly and cable
hit em up underground reaching those hungry
enough to work in the slaughter stable
Elections without inspections dont mean democracy
If this government feared its citizenry
then these bulls wouldnt be
whoring off the earth for money
Its been hijacked Zack
and us all know that
so we disturb em
hit the streets
to rupture their nervous system
we know bush supporters are christian
so we know how to make em listen
how to put the fist in
to turn off that television
key in the ignition
make the inraged incision
into the head remove
the bullet now we got a moble mass to move
read to groove
unscathed by their billy clubs and gas
we pay their saleries they work for our ass
so now we attack
but our arms are our wrenches
and we get em economically make em defenseless
demand consensus
make the rage known over fences
they'll soon understand the meaning of seeing though chains
lost in the Mexico deasert you know why it dont rain
though millions pray now the walls come down on a moment to save
embrace
and let resound as the masses manifest
mobilized and undressed
their cause gotta breed this effect
because when you disect
what kind of money they spend
on the weapons we paid to keep em killin our kin
over toxic land fill ocean
we got em in check
inspect the deck
favors point to the fascists
but they burnt their souls
we got ours to respect
one thing that wont be sould
ill let it out i wont push it down
gun pointing outta my mouth
Bush how do ya like me now?!
"Bring em on?"
Ya need a reality check
but this time you cant budget it
i got phonics to render you outta office
piss on the flag they raised
to let you in the cockpit
then i spit the fire will be lit then i vomit
because of all the people dead because you wanted...
This?
A thousand ways to suffer,
but this aint free trade.
You got one reaction its fair
and youre not getting paid
thats right now you're a slave to your own choices
the reality you made for us
so whos god do you trust
for whos blood do you lust
what judge do you corrupt
what jury do you ursup
Bring down the chainlink on the dust
choaking who need to breath
when they rise up
they wont weeze on their knees
Taller than trees
but sensing the smoke in the breeze (*i know... i know.)
a moment of peace
followed by enraged anomalies

These machines cant bleed
because steel and oil aint blood
Neither are needles and foil
burning infertil the soil
of all we have to grow
what lets us rise from the toil
of fighting as the kettle boils
whos spoils are justifying the means

this end
will be difficult to send
into the present when
in the future we mend
we realize its so damn easy to pretend
but how much time we spent
trying to unravel the plan to defend
we gotta trust in what we know we love
fighting what we hate will always corrupt
look at the blood on our guns ridden with rust
now they need to blow away the dust
off the words we got to inspire billions
of souls unknown to the media kings
bring down empires
find answers in funeral pyres
allow others to see from our spires
to hear from our phones
tapped but without wires
no point in repeating again
but i dont think its possible because i dont pretend
that it can
i just think critical thought
laced with spiritual eons graced by the rot
of what we remember as old as a rock
questioning the sound of a block
bombed rubble smoking not a home to the people
we were protecting with glocks
yes we got that critical thought
break it down and surface the real plot
turn the power to the have-nots
yea we know thats when they'll stage the shot.

oh my god that was longer than i thought! no wonder no instrumentals i have will let me spit that whole thing! thanks for reading all the way to ... here. Peace + Love + Equality.

OTFL, I'll check yours out in a bit. Also, by 'soon', I meant this summer. I finally got a band going grin.gif. Here's my latest one, with an explanation (maybe speech?) attached.

"Progress"

I stand by myself and not by myself
Not the sole clean soul in an overcrowded cell
Livin’ with killers from the new world order
And the child shot in the chest
Ten feet from the border

Colorful words bring us toward tomorrow
Building roads but burning bridges
Burning with rage, burning with sorrow
Mourning the death of our future vision!

A pillar of justice is a killer of progress! [x4]

Progress pushers disguised as killers by justice
Dollar bill split skills to disguise as progress
Minds rot as the empire earns
And then ya join the empire
And the fields they start to burn!

A pillar of justice is a killer of progress! [x4]

In will to earn, you bleach your soul
Out of corporate necessity, harmony stops cold
Slaves to the system, slaves to the structure
New age antebellum order
Now it’s time for it to rupture!

A pillar of justice is a killer of progress! [x4]

The right way
The wrong way
(Not the path along the lies we’re fed)
The great white way
(Not along the path they tread)
Fuck it all, I’m going my own way!

Colorful words bring us toward tomorrow
Open wallets but close the minds
Burning with rage, burning with sorrow
With minds come the eyes and the whole world’s blind!

Few cop killers but many killer cops
Who don’t open their eyes until the shooting stops
And then we’re told to bow to the favorite son
And then we wait in silence
But salvation never comes!

A pillar of justice is a killer of progress! [x4]

The white hooded generals, the cross burning senators
These are your pillars of justice, your leaders, your federals
They give you colorful words to calm the rebel
And then you give your soul, your voice, and your fist
You say that we’re enlightened but you know
That ignorance is bliss

A pillar of justice is a killer of progress!
You say that we’re enlightened
But ignorance is bliss
[x4]

Ignorance is bliss…ignorance is bliss….ignorance is bliss… [x3]

Ignorance is bliss!! [x10]

Are you happy now?!
Are you happy?!

I had parts of this song for ages, but it didn't really kick-start until I read a leftist article that, to paraphrase, was against progress in all its forms. In that context, progress meant corporate development, etc (that was the topic of the article). I felt there must be a clear, clear line drawn between corporate progress which damages society and the family while lining the pockets of the pillars of justice, and civil progress, which ideally moves closer to individual freedom, potential for happiness, and (religious or secular) salvation.

The former is the "progress" pushed by governments, seeking out padding for their wallets and those of their connections in D.C. and the corporate upper crust. I don't want the word 'progress' to bring up images of homes crashing down to make way for construction and CEOs taking checks, I want people to think of Du Bois and Subcomandante Marcos (ideally) or MLK and Rosa Parks (realistically). To make us support their version of progress, they follow the mantra "Ignorant people are easier to govern".

To quote Zack de la Rocha in one of my favorite speeches: "[A system] that wants you not to act. A system that would rather see all of you at that bar drinking beer filling your minds being put to sleep with beer or with drugs rather than acting against it and fighting that system". They want us to forget about individual rights. They want us to forget about civil rights. They want us to forget protests, marches, and the power that the people hold in their voices and fists. It makes me sick that people call ourselves an enlightened society, when we blindly seek our own happiness above the progress of society. We no longer protest loudly against those who we are dissatisfied with. We sit, complacent, with a distorted vision of progress, and without a single unified goal to fight for, as a people. What they

Our unified goal is to propagate progress (the REAL kind of progress, not the false version advertised on TV and on billboards) and to end ignorance. Once we know our enemy and know our goal, we, like the great progress pushers of the 1960s, will be able to move society past this dark era and into an era of true enlightenment.

tell me what u think

its as old as bad governments
kings and queens that didnt make sense
it ended nam
and now its back
to stop the us in iraq

march in protest
have a peaceful riot =chorus
be heard not quiet

workers, vets, ex-farmers
marchin forward to their future harmers
the police storm troopers at the end of the road
speak in tongues using hand codes
rubber bullets and pepper spray
those marching forward
wont change their way

now theres water in bolivia
and the cia can still kill ya
if you go down make sure ya say

chorus

in seattle the world bank
in boston harbor they sank
the rich mans desire
now the pigs open fire
tazers and tear gas
forward they charge fast
those strong hold the line
in hospital beds they will dine

theres hippies and anarchists
all march with a raised fist
they're struck by cops
repeated sounds, bangs, pops
all eyes burn and all are bleeding
ethnic cleansing aka creed weeding

chorus

soon they return fire
with rocks and stones
not to kill
just to break bones
the battle lasts days
innocent casualties
answered by universal peace pleas

taken are political POWs
a hundred dead police
and thousands with bloody sores
described by fox as "street wars"
its now rocks verse lead dogs
with DU cores

finally it ends
they tally up the sum
the storm troopers won the battle
but many battles are to come

they marched in protest
they didnt start that riot
just wanted to be heard
not shut up and quiet

the marchers now in jail
all charged with cop assail
they reamain there not one free
and thats the story
of the battle of washington DC

Just some almost-freestyle stuff I wrote down 3rd period today after a short Immortal Technique binge. It's kinda Immortal Technique meets Rage.

I see my freedom infringed with less and less clarity
By Fox News Corporation and its subsidiaries
Takeover secrets stay internal
Today the Wall Street Journal, tomorrow the world
Murdoch's approach on my life and my rights
Set his sights on the way I live to fight
I start the fires with which I burn his newspapers
To end corporate rule sooner rather than later
I warm my home on its flames and they call me insane
For giving the powerful a share of the blame

I wrote alternate lyrics to Testify for an AP Environmental Science project, and put them over the instrumentals of the song. Here it is:

The thin air, now I'm blind
The agreement still unsigned
The carbon in my mind
But not in their conscience
And the staredown with factories
The blood of Iraqis
I'm thinking it's all wrong
Say the key word, not warming
But funding, they're listless
In the face of this crisis
So ignore my verse in defense of outright lies
Existence, it threatens
Their silence, it deafens
Only anger in our hands now
And truth full in our voice we march
Upon the hill
My friend you must speak
Their story is weak
It's right outside your door, now testify!

Now testify
Its right outside your door
Now testify
Yes testify
Its right outside your door

This invasion is choking
This division is smoking
This landscape is fogging
Can’t see in front of me
I'm racing, fighting
Against the flow of time and the speech of calming
I'm standing in the face of subdued words
The Arctic is screaming
Overseer is scheming
He's twisting the meaning
Deception is the watchword
On the hill
My friend you must speak
Their story is weak
It's right outside your door, now testify!

And the rest is as the original.
