Did anyone see this in the theaters? It comes out on video in a week or two. I really liked the first half of the movie. It was gritty and stuff. Then it gave up on itself and went downhill which blew. It tried hard but I don't think the director was like Raimi (director for Spiderman). Raimi loved spiderman and he basically said "I think I should direct Spiderman because I love the books. I know the character. I know what a spiderman movie should be." Comic books made into movies need people who love the books, who understand the content, who understand what the books try to be. Punisher tried, did well at first then just gave up. It was sad.

I could've sworn there was a thread about this already, but I'm damned if I can find it.
I hated this flick. I won't go into it fully again, but the soundtrack made no sense, it was alike a half-hearted attempt at a classical score, and the main actor was compeltely one-dimensional. There were a few good parts, a few funny parts as well, but ing eneral it was weak. The weakest of all the marvel-adaptions. And yes, the ending really did stink it up.

I thought Daredevil was bad. Like, it had potential as well but it failed. It should have played up DAredevil's quest for redemption and his struggle with being a "Good guy". It mentioned it but it never played it up real well.
On the upside Jennifer Garner was in it.

My biggest problem with comic book movies is that the characters in the books are really good. They have 30-40 sometimes 50 years to develop them. Then they make the movie and throw it all out, they treat the charcters as these one dimensional beings who only have super-powers. It's stupid. Where's their humanity?

^ My thoughts exactly. Which is why I'm sort of glad marvgel hasn't had the time or money, or haven't thought of making a few other characters they're own film as well. Deadpool, for example. An assassin. Phsically scarred, a little on the insane side, hilariously funny. But to condense so much literary history into a small film, it just doesnt work for such dynamic characters.

^ PR invades z-net!
Another thing, like I said, the soundtrack blew, but what happened to all the different tracks they played during the trailer? A few good ones were on that...false advertising dammit!
