-Courtney Love Lashes Out At Accusers, Cobain's Grandfather Believes Kurt Was Murdered-
Courtney Love is lashing out at a book that alleges she may have had a hand in the death of her husband, NIRVANA frontman Kurt Cobain, in 1994. Max Wallace and Ian Halperin, authors of "Love & Death", have "opportunistically used the anniversary of Kurt Cobain's death to promote their ongoing campaign of greed and exploitation of what remains an unbearable tragedy for us all," Love told The New York Daily News.
Meanwhile, Kurt Cobain's grandfather, 80-year-old Leland Cobain, was treating Monday's 10-year-anniversary of Kurt's death as just another day, claiming he was "over it pretty well, now." Then again, maybe that's because Leland doesn't think the NIRVANA singer took his own life ten years ago. "I think he was murdered, yeah," says the elder Cobain during an interview with the Calgary Sun. He's not ready to accuse Kurt's then-wife Courtney Love though. "I have no idea who done it, but I think the cops in Seattle really goofed up," he says. "I can't understand how he could have that much dope in him and still lift a shotgun. And I can't understand how come his jaws weren't all broke up and everything from the concussion when it went off and why (the gun) was still on his chest — it should have jumped clear off his chest."

Does anybody here really believe Kurt was murdered? Personally, I have no idea..guns can be placed, suicide notes can be faked. Much evidence showed that it wasn't possible that he could've shot himself- but at the same time, I saw other evidence that would support the theory. Anybody think Courtney had him killed? Opinions...

I'd imagine that'd be a horrible accusation being she was not guilty of it. Imagine someone blaming you for the death of the person you love. That would feel absolutely horrible

I dont know too much about cobain, i never really like Nirvana, but I heard from a Nirvana that Kurt killed himself because he had inoperable stomach cancer. Ive never heard this anywhere else, is there any truth to this??


Also, from what ive seen of courtney love, she is dumb as hell, and i dont think she could have orchestrated a murder cover up. I think that cobain killed himself, but like i said, i dont konw too much about himself.

As far as I knew Courtnery was in a different city at the time of Kurt's death. Not sure about the cancer theory, but he definitely had severe pain in his stomach, which is how his herion addiction developed. Can't remember what the condition was though.

i heard that courtney love was only a few blocks away when it happened. i also heard that Kurt Cobain believed that you should finish everything when ur at the top. therefore he killed himself at the peak of his career.



i aint sure if any of that is true but meh.

if we assume she killed him, she doesnt have to be in the same city, she could've hired someone to kill him...i mean legally, she killed him right?


as for her actually doing it, well, dunno, i dont get good vibes from her, then again, all i see is a representation on TV, which could just be an image she's pulling to sell records.


if she didnt kill him, then i agree, it must be very difficult for her having to deal with all this crap

as with any death there is a conspiraqcy theory especially a death of a famous person and because theyre is some evidence which is slightly unusulal but for a couple who were both depended on heroin and neither of them were the sharpest knife in the draw tells me he just topped himself and courtney gets the blame because of her messed up head and past behaviour. dont know much about nirvana though i oculd be very wrong

I had this mp3 of Courtney reading Kurt's supposed suicide note to a large crowd, and it really seemed like she was pulling an acting job, but like I say, who knows for sure?

Courtney didn`t kill Kurt. She went totally off the rails after he killed himself. If he wa smurdered i really don`t think it was her doign in any way. Courtney is however very smart. She is just very lost right now i think. Too many drugs and insecurities. The popular celebrity route sadly.

In the incident reports it says that Cobain has recently went AWOL from a drug treatment center in Los Angeles. That his family filed a missing persons report due to the fact he was missing and had recently bought a shotgun. They feared he would take his life. At the time of the body's discovery Courtney Love was taken into custody in California.

According the the reports he had tried to committ suicide in Rome and left a note but was unsuccessful. They then used the note from Rome to confirm the note left in his residence and they came to the conclusion that he did write it.

I remember watching something about this on Unsolved Mysteries like a year after it happened. On there they were linking it mostly to Courtney, having someone from another band claiming that Courtney offered him money to kill Kurt. Also note that Kurt was divorcing Courtney.
