Full Version: Zack And Pirate Radio
Zack de la Rocha Network Forum > Metropolis > .:: ZDLR Symposium ::.
lovely angst
In late September, Zack de la Rocha, former lead singer of radical rock band Rage Against the Machine, received a “notice of unlicensed operation” from the FCC.

The FCC alleges that a pirate radio signal was coming from de la Rocha’s LA home– 104.7FM, a signal that often rebroadcasts the anti-corporate internet station Kill Radio (my old stomping grounds).

No word on whether or not the signal was actually coming from de la Rocha’s home, or whether or not he has complied with the FCC’s order to shut it down. If I had to take a guess, it would be that 104.7 has found a new home by now.

“Guerrilla Radio” indeed.

Cool.

Is it really true?

If Zack is sending out some radio signals...what's he up to. If he's using it to send out some songs, I sure would like to hear them smile.gif

That is very exciting. He is actually doing something post "We Want It All".

^He just put on a kick-ass show in L.A. last month. But you didn't care about all that because he didn't do it the way you wanted him to do it, right? The show was hella tight and Zack is an enormously talented musician in several facets. Understand the fact that you missed out...loads.

this doesn't seem very believable. why would that letter to Zack be on the internet?
lovely angst
Because the FCC documents all warnings incase they lead to raids....public information as well.

That's a judgment you have made that is untrue. I didn't care about that because I am sitting here in Australia, trying to pick up the latest word that's spoken about him in an interview, or a couple of songs he's released since Rage. A concert in LA isn't going to help me. I missed out loads, but I certainly would have liked to see it no matter which way he did it.
