uh ohhh, this is a touchy subject. people think it's right, people think it's stupid. what do you think about it? personally, i think they should have the basic rights of most people, like the right to live. you shouldn't have to be bred and grown in a factory for food against your own will, and you shouldn't have to live in a factory to produce food against your own will. you also shouldn't have to be forced to perform stupid stunts for human entertainment either. but what do you think? bash me all you want but i will stick to my belief.

well, yes it is a touchy subject... It's hard for me to take an extreme stance here....
Ok, first off, I am for animal rights. I am against the experimentation. I choose not to eat any amimals... Ok, but how else would we know about all of these diseases, or cures? and WHat animals want to get killed? i once knew an animal activist who was angry that animals were being tested for cosmetics (eye liner, lipstick, etc). i often think that the problems with the way animals are treated are rooted in the problems with human society. with regards to my aformentioned colleague, i think that if you address sexism which makes women feel the need to live up to some beauty standard, then you eliminate the need to test women's cosmetics. if you eliminate classism, racism and sexism, then people by nature would realize that all creatures have basic rights to just be. that's my opinion anyway.

domestic animals should not be abused under any circumstances, and do have the right to live, but for the most part, "Animal Rights" is just another excuse for these "liberal nazis", to shove their veganism bullshit down our throats. Being a vegitarian seems about as retarded as a person who sews their asshole shut because they believe bowl movements are offensive. But hey, if you dont want to eat meat, more power to ya. Just please keep the shit to yourself.

whats with the animosity towards vegetarians...

I am totally FOR animal rights in every way shape or form. I do not eat meat, but at the same time I do not judge people who choose to eat meat. I wish we could all be vegetarians, but its never going to be that way, or at least for a very, very long time. But while there are meat-eaters among us, I believe we should make the killing and living process for animals as humane as possible. At least let animals enjoy the life that they would have otherwise enjoyed, rather than the first time they see sunlight being on the way to the abattoir, or being stuck in the tiniest of cages with your dead buddy or offspring for god knows how long. That kind of disrespect really upsets me.
