Anyone with published lyrics is a poet in my eyes.

Anyone who writes poetry, published or not, is a poet, in my opinion.

Anyone who writes is a poet in my eyes.
-------------------- This is the FiFTY-FOUR effect: (the loveable nemesis)
QUOTE(Grimer 54) Society begets government. Anarchist theory is actually just a pseudo-intellectual state of denial, an idealistic illusion that can never be more than a wholly unfulfilled dream. Thus, it is a counter-productive measure that actually weakens, rather than improves the progress of society as government is inevitable in the maintenance of civilization. Therefore, it is infinitely more effective to pursue political upheaval through the system, rather then against the system. For despite all of its flaws, both Democracy and Capitalism are still rooted within the people themselves by rational and realistic means. That is not to say I advocate the status quo, but instead, a moral pursuit to right the endless wrongs brought on by the evils of human nature, via an unintimidated, undaunted, unmitigated spirit of liberty and justice for all, rather then the destructive hypocrisy of your so-called "revolution." "I may disagree with what you have to say, but I will defend, to the death, your right to say it". - attributed to Voltaire Still a sheltered idealist... but learning: This is no Oasis. |

Anyone is a poet.
EVERYONE is a poet. Except me. I'm a dork. -------------------- This is the FiFTY-FOUR effect: (the loveable nemesis)

I've written a few poems (which I posted on here), but I don't consider myself a true poet. I don't have the nack for writing poetry like some people have, and I don't really care that much either.

QUOTE hey 54 you got tha skills i quoted one of your poems in my sig once I remember, and it was pretty awesome of you to flatter me like that. Thanks =) I really do like poetry, I'm just to self deprecating to ever be able to write very much of my own. I like yours, and a bunch of others who are courageous enough to share themselves on the artifex lounge, it's very moving. Like I said, I really think everyone is a poet, but those willing to unabashedly share their poetry are the ones that I admire, and the only ones who can inspire... because the unspoken word touches no one, right? Keep it up poets. Don't let Zack's poetic silence hinder you... of course, I know it won't, I just figured I should connect back to the topic at hand. Yes. His lyrics could stand on their own without music. It's poetry.
