Tool AENIMA
![]() Volcano 1996 A CD's length of morose remorse, Tool came into their own with their third album AENIMA. A scathing look at the extremes of life from drugs to early death, Maynard and band weave tales worthy of operatic study. Lyrics drawn from Pentecostal pain and Opiated opinions, we get a rather skewed view from this barrage of heaviness. Dreamscapes that come from some sort of anaesthetized lack of focus, Maynard finally takes us into the fantasy of California washing away and revealing Arizona Bay. All this done in a sweet sweat.... -Maurice Doubleday |
