i m going to jump in with a retty controversal topic here. I know a lot of you on this boared complin about the prise of going to higher education (usally from the states) but why bother? My girlfreind is currently going to universty and i have had a chance to meet the other students and to be honists that not really well educated at all. They always complin about having to read 4 chapters of a book in a week, i read a book about every 5 days, and seam to know so much more then all these eccnomic and history students. Now either i am somthing specal and amasingly inteligent which i think we can rule out or students arnt quiteas hard working as they make out.
I think a big problem is students dont really want to be their they (the one's i have meet) contulie complin about having to go to lectures and all the work they hve to do. i try to remind them politly that some one has to work very hard (i.e the tax payer) to send them their. maby i am wrong maby its only the ones i have met. fred |
