Can anyone help me locate the original George Rodriguez photograph that the band title is based on...? dunno.gif

I'm looking for this also. Maybe someone from that area could give us some info. Is it still up in Boyle Heights?

The preview tracks are sick!! Zack has this reggae type of flow goin on.. In a way, his flow kinda reminds me of Sonny from P.O.D a little bit..

But, so far I'm lovin it.. Can't wait to get the album.. smile.gif

Thanks for the samples Wind Below.. cool.gif

P.O.D.? I sure hope not.

My thang...

I have never expected anything from Zack. He doesn't owe any of us anything. For anybody saying the "cause" needs him or Rage or this or that is missing the entire point. He's a dude just like you and me that happens to have a talent for words and music. I happen to like most of his stuff, but I can't understand ever being disappointed.
That being said, I'm glad he's working with an amazing drummer and putting something out.

Recorded eco friendly at Mr. Johnson's place. Produced by Mr. Caldato aka consciously Beastie.

Ah, finally!

The song is awesome. Anyone got the lyrics?

Anyone notice the similarities of lyrics to Wild International and the CIW song Zack and Tom performed?

Well, not P.O.D necessarily.. Just Sonny.. Its just the way he says some words and the way the words kinda drags.. Like if he was to say "Zion".. U know how the "on" part will just drag along like your extending it.. Like oooon instead of on.. Thats what i mean.. laughing.gif

Not blown away by the new stuff, but it's new stuff, so I won't be picky. Some decent tunes, I just wish they'd had some actual instruments in there...the lack is noticeable, to me at least.

That said, I'm mentally throwing my hat in the air, as it's only taken 5 or so years on this site to see something released by Zack.

I agree completely..

I haven't heard the other songs yet so I'm not judging this yet..

I will say though.. It's more interesting than anything Audioslave did.

Very well said. It has taken some years of personal growth to realize this about Zack as a person.

Yeah, the new stuff doesn't blow me away musically as I wanted it to, but they are new songs! And new songs are, more importantly, new poetry by an extremely talented writer.

If this is the solo stuff, awesome, and if it isn't, that's fine too.

I fell in love with March (the sound blew me away), so I guess what I am really hoping for is to eventually hear all of the DJ Shadow stuff, a guy can dream can't he!

Just to elaborate.. It's like they attempted to be minimalist.. But it just came out pretty bad..

Ok..

I just got the whole album(I'm not gonna put up any links, it might get someone in trouble).. I Listened to the EP it in it's entirety..

The music is sick.. Jon Theodore is the fucking man.. Wild International is the weakest track on it in my opinion..

My favorite is Last Letter.. Tied with Ocean View..

I just pre ordered it on Amazon...

I give it a B+
