howdy all i have not been introduced i am a student from Australia and contrary to some peoples ideas of Australia i live in a house and drive a car rather then live under a wide brimmed akubra hat and hop into a kangaroo to get to my classes.
ZDLR is verging on becoming a demigod for me his music makes me feel so many emotions which is why RAGE is my favourite artists. Marilyn Manson i dont mind System of a down also good hip hop dance drum and base style stuff eg Daft Punk jurrasic 5 blackalicious Dan the automator and deltron 3030 chemical brothers i grew up with lots of Dj friends anyways im a socialist and happy to argue it im an athiast but not happy to argue it because i dont want to be forced to read the bible again 1nce is enough and it was harder for me to read then the mathematics of Quantum Neutrino Fields -Prof Farnsworth i watch Futurama profusely and last but not least i study film and am a great enjoyer of all it has to offer anyways as a group of generally left wing socialists anarchists and Commies i am intrested in what films the masses of you watch and what you like about them! so to start the ball rolling Snatch - Guy Ritchie this is brilliant how his scripts all seem to cometogether at the end of the movie, I love the characters that have been developped and generally the crazy nature of the film LOTR 123 - Peter Jackson i think i just love the whole feel of these movies, they just make me really believe that i am a part of them, also i have been known to play dungeons and dragons and LOTR is the same sort of feel, not to mention i really enjoyed the books but i thought the hobbit was by far the best Citizen Kane - Orson Welles probably not know to many even though it has been voted the best film of all time by the majority of film makers. i spose i like it for its context the sharpness of the film is remarkable considering the age of it also some solid performances and also great characters. BFC and fahrenheit 9/11 - Micheal Moore although his documentaries have been disputed and called almost complete lies, i spose that is to be expected seeing bush is running the USA, i personally think everything that has been called a lie is just filmaking, if you watch a dvd and watch the making of people will realise how much of what you see on the screen is imaginary and faked that is the beautie of film , thats what i love about it. anyways i think that the way Moore used media to expose media i bowling for columbine was mind blowing and i fell in love with it the moment i saw it. it really makes you think and thats what make me like a film it makes you think. anyway id like to know what films you guys watch so post on friends post on. your brain is the camera your eye the lens This post has been edited by 3vili$i0u$: Sep 20 2004, 09:38 PM -------------------- Make the rich live in poverty....

So you're wanting to discuss what exactly? Zack, yourself, or films??
Are you purposely trying to make life hard for the Mods? -------------------- I know you're out there. I can feel you now. I know that you're afraid. You're afraid of us, you're afraid of change. I don't know the future. I didn't come here to tell you how this is going to end, I came here to tell you how this is going to begin. Now, I'm going to hang up this phone, and I'm going to show these people what you don't want them to see. I'm going to show them a world without you. A world without rules and controls, without borders or boundaries. A world...where anything is possible.
Where we go from there is a choice I leave to you. |

i didnt make myself clear im sorry films is what i was discussing and what i intend to continue to discuss in this thread
disregard that crap bout myself i couldnt find an introduction area and i havent introduced myself so i decided to take the liberty to do it myself and rather then waste it on a thread about me i thought it would be sensible to put mit at the start of a thread with an actuall topic This post has been edited by 3vili$i0u$: Sep 20 2004, 11:37 PM -------------------- Make the rich live in poverty....

The Birds - people being attacked by birds, and they never resort to guns or anything like that. they move instead of making the birds leave.
Pulp Fiction - probably one of the only movies ive seen where its filled with tons of great actors and theyre not all cocky and try to outshine each other. American Beauty - just blows me away each time. 12th Night, version with Ben Kingsley - probably the funniest Shakespeare recreation movie made. Gone with the Wind - Scarlett I dont give a damn, but this movie rocks. A Patch of Blue - the book is awesome too. Blind girl falls in love with black man, but she doesnt know he is black. the way the story develops is just good. Alice In Wonderland - If only we were sleeping while all the scary stuff hapened to us. also my favorite disney cartoon movie. Amadeus - crazy composers, thats all they have to live for, and die for. Hairspray - lovely chubby Ricky Lake, all she wants to do is dance. Coming to America - just hilarious. my list of pick movies, theyre lame, but i dig them. edit: I forgot to say The Wizard of Oz - Judy Garland is just so pretty in this movie, and I love how all the scenes dont match cause they were filmed at different times. completly agree with Pulp fiction very few movies like that anymore and the script was classic only thing that wrecked it for me was when Uma was in the car before they went to the restrant and Quinton tarrintino threw in that cut out square i didnt like it at all
american beauty also a brilliant film i really need to invest in that one amedeus also very well done been a while since ive seen it though I havent seen the birds yet but really want to psycho was good though have you seen that the orginal of course it has been ripped off so many times now it has become cliche though once upon a time in america also very good film techniques used brilliant wide shots blow your mind wide shots sergio leone was a master of that and shindlers list as much as i dont like speilberg i have to admit he did a good job with shindlers list probably because the book was so good a film you should watch very great comedy is called the castle by rob sitch probably very hard to find in the states seing it is an australian movie but nevertheless very good for a budget of 20 000 AUS -------------------- Make the rich live in poverty....

Excellent, hope you stick around
As for films, give me that shiney silver Star Wars trilogy boxset and I'll be pretty damn happy - in spite the fact that a lot of core Star Wars fans are boycotting it... -------------------- "Do not be afraid of death so much as an inadequate life” - Bertolt Brecht

Cause we want the originals. From what i heard, Lucas is still unhappy with some of the original movie shit and is going to continue to tamper with them over the years. What a fucker! All i want is the original version, with the shitty sound, and without Han walking over Jabba's tail, etc etc. AH!! But i still want to buy the set and thats why he can do all of this shitty shit he does. -------------------- ![]() "It is easy to be negative, and much harder to find that silver lining behind the clouds of modern society." - Billy Corgan "everyone there is so damn opinionated yet they won't even listen to whatever anyone else has to say" politics on the left OMG POWER CHORDS ARE TEH BAD EMO!
