I really like "Ocean View".. I like the beat and chorus.. Is anybody else feelin a Trent Reznor feel to a lot of the beats?? Especially Ocean View.. hope we get a whole album of this stuff sooner rarther than later but at least he has beaten axl rose to releasing something haha.. Yeah, I'm not going to even hold my breath on an LP.. But, i do welcome it ASAP though.. I'm still in shock about how low key they were about all this though.. The signing to the record label.. No samples until a week or so ago before the album was released.. And the actual album was released in the same month that they were signed.. This just kinda makes ya wonder.. Now that Zack is signed to Anti.. What will happen with Zack and Rage as far as studio material goes? I think the low key thing is to save money on advertising costs I highly doubt Rage will record something new i hope they try but i just see everyone doin their own thing i hope timmy c and brad do some stuff. I onder if Zack will release the other stuff he has done with Mr Reznor and all the others. I really think he should get his ass on the phone to Mike Patton and do something with him i mean the man releases 1 million albums a year so if anything we would have something released and the thought of them doing something is beyond mega awesome also how many albums did ratm have to do before they finished with EPIC??? Cause they might be free agents now -------------------- |

QUOTE also how many albums did ratm have to do before they finished with EPIC??? i think i've read somewhere a while ago that the deal with epic was 4 albums. that's why i have this "theory" that the split was intentional after they did 'renegades'(fourth studio album) and decided to end it and cite "decision making differences" to fool epic. maybe that's what they meant by "hijacking the mainstream" where they've done their part; recording and touring, and stop cashing in from "the machine", then leave us the decision to take action fighting causes. everybody would go and do their own thing; audioslave, nightwatchman, son del centro, collabos, etc. then after 8 years of the state of stagnantation and deterioration of america's domestic and foreign affairs/policy(among others), they decided to reawaken the sleeping deads by regrouping and reigniting the fire! but then again, that's just my humblest opinion. maybe they did have some internal frictions before, and thank god they put the differences aside and focus on something much more important to, at least, bring some change in the world and godwilling, make it a better place. i'm sure many of us here wants RATM to come up with some new materials, at least an EP like ODAAL, soon after the tour is done. but only time can tell. until then, we just have to make do with what we have, what they already gave, and continue with what the music and message is all about; TAKING ACTION. -------------------- "The tree of democracy shall be watered by the blood of revolution." - ZDLR

Zack from Rage and Jon from TMV.. Those names right there is enough in itself.. ya know?? I heard a couple of samples of The Slip.. But, still haven't listened to the full thing.. All you need nowadays for advertising and marketing is a Myspace or Facebook page and a shit ton of friends... They've obviously got some sort of marketing budget.. They have their own splash page in the iTunes store.. Fancy.. You can get the Slip for free.. It's ok.. Sounds a bit With Teethy.. But hey, he's giving it away, so why not check it out? -------------------- I fucking SAID this would happen!

^ Casbah is right though.. The only thing a band needs is a myspace page.. I hardly ever see any bands with regular sites anymore.. But, its kinda better that way though because on regular sites some bands will just put basic info.. But, usually if its a band music page its like they have to add atleast 1 song or so..
Now, i know they released The Slip online for free to download.. But, was that an all instrumental album or were there vocals? I remember them releasing another all instrumental album in stores around the same time right? |

Activist Noam Chomsky argues that “Mumia's case is symbolic of something much broader...The US prison system is simply class and race war...Mumia and other prisoners are the kind of people that get assassinated by what's called 'social cleansing' in US client states like Colombia.” How Long? Not Long! Cause what you reap, is what what you sow! WAKE UP! |
