No one saw it; but I did.
Clear as day, just not back then. When I look back now, I realize what made you laugh and smile... you had an angel inside that tickeled your sides. She played inside of you and made your hair shine She tickeled your feet when you felt shy She gave you strength when nothing else did. She told you one day that you were going to die and that you couldn't tell anyone; not even me. If you did, you would suffer for the rest of your life and she would never play with you again. I now know, that day you died, you cried inside more than I could ever try. The pain that you must have felt when you knew it was coming, but you couldn't let me know. You spent all day with me, holding it in looking in my eyes, waiting to burst. But you held strong and listened to that angel... That fucking angel that made you smile and made you laugh and made you the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. Your poem happened to me today. You know sometimes you pick up a poem and it really connects because its right there with ya! She died with a smile on her face after the angels came and took her away.
